Founder

Anisha Nakhuda is the founder of SteadyFlow Therapy. She is a master’s level qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist (PgDip, MSc – Level 7), and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Anisha is a therapeutic Counsellor and Psychotherapist specialising in working with people over the age of 16. She has many years of working with individuals in both the charity and private sector. She has experience working with childhood sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues and attachment work.

Anisha holds a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and is trained in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment Theory (AT).

As an integrative therapist, Anisha draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, allowing therapy to be tailored to each individual’s needs. By combining ideas and tools from CBT, Person-Centred Therapy, and Attachment Theory, she works in a way that feels both meaningful and effective.

Her approach is client-led and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert on their own life. She places great importance on building a safe, supportive, and genuine therapeutic relationship, as this forms the foundation for positive change. Together, therapist and client explore thoughts, feelings, and life experiences at a pace that feels right for the individual.

Through this process, therapy can support a deeper understanding of patterns and experiences, creating space for new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. Over time, this may help the brain form new pathways, ease feelings of fear and anxiety, and enhance overall well being emotionally, mentally, and physically. While therapy is not always easy, it can be a powerful and rewarding journey towards greater self-understanding and personal growth.
